Big Games of 2012: RG3 Mania Runs Wild On NCAA Football 1

Darksiders 2

Based on remarks made at this year's International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Leadership Forum, THQ executive vice president Danny Bilson revealed that the sequel to Darksiders will be a story that actually runs concurrent to the events in the first game. This is surprising development considering (SPOILER AHEAD) the ending ofDarksiders seemed to set up a sequel in which the Four Horsemen of theApocalypse would be reunited in the war against Heaven and Hell (END SPOILER). Whether it's a follow-up featuring a more badass War, or a concurrent story, we're certainly intrigued by what's next in this franchise.

Syndicate
Syndicate
It's still unclear whether or not Syndicate will be a game that takes itself seriously, but given that the main character's name is "Miles Kilo," we're going to guess not. This dystopian future FPS will allow players to shoot crazy bullet-bending guns and even "hack into" the minds of enemies. It's a much-needed twist in a stale genre, and we're looking forward to it.

Metro: Last Light

Metro: Last Light
Metro: Last Light takes players back to the subway tunnels under Moscow, where humanity now lives in shelter from the irradiated wasteland above. The Dark Ones were destroyed at the end of the previous game, Metro 2033, but humanity is still the biggest threat to itself. Both the Communist and neo-Nazi factions return in full force, waging a war against each other. And once again, Artyom is stuck in the middle. Step into his shoes in this first-person shooter/horror game when it lands this summer.
